The Fallen Hero

     Being a hero grants one a huge sense of self-pride, being a superior as well as being admired by your peers is a great feeling. It may seem glamorous at first, but being a hero brings upon it's huge and undeniable responsibilities. Those that view you as a hero put their faith in you to be all that you are supposed to be them. Whether it be a genius, warrior, or savior you are their hero. In Star Wars, Anakin Skywalker is the Chosen One, the one to bring end to the Sith and bring peace to the galaxy. He is among the strongest of jedis, but yet his quest to become the strongest has only built up his lust for power of any sorts.
    
     Anakin was destined to be The Chosen One, bringer of peace to the galaxy. Well, the galaxy is pretty big and that's a huge burden on Anakin's shoulders. He found himself to be very powerful, yet he was always in the search for even greater strength. He believed he was great enough to be deemed a Jedi Master, yet he was denied the title and was frustrated with the Council. His lust for power grew stronger which lead him to accompany the Chancellor, a man who claimed to of have knowledge he could give to Anakin to make him much more powerful.

     With Anakin's quest for power on route for completion he began to let his lust for power overtake his natural mindset. He began to transform into a new type of person. It wasn't till the moment of the Chancellor's attempted arrest by fellow Jedi's, accompanied by Master Windu that was sabotaged by Anakin that he truly began his transformation. As the Chancellor was close to death by the hands of Windu, Anakin had stepped in a sliced and pushed Master Windu out of the building window to his death to save the Chancellor, his new Master, of the Sith.

     Finally, Anakin has now transformed into the opposite of his former self he is now known as Darth Vader. A Sith Lord, he has become what he intended to destroy. Darth Vader is truly nothing of Anakin, by hurting his wife, who later died, and attempting to kill his master Obi-Wan he has shown he has succumbed to the powers of the Chancellor and the Sith.

     A hero, someone who is praised and loved who has turned into a hated person amongst their peers. Anakin into Darth Vader is the fallen hero tale. Although Darth Vader is evil, there was a hint that there still could be a touch of good inside of him. Anakin may have believed he was doing the right thing in search of power, it is a shame to of had a lust blind someone into their own trickery. Only oneself can truly bring upon a new being within.
