Hard Work, Dedication

How would you feel if your staff was hiring more undertrained workers to work in your factory? I bet you wouldn't like it. Same thing for seniors entering college, if colleges were to allow enrollment of seniors who let their grades slip in the final year it would only bring likely laziness and failure. Senior year is the final year and represents who you became in your high school career. If you allow yourself to fall behind senior year it shows that you most likely won't be committed to college, or other things in life, to it's end and you are wasting time being there. Colleges shouldn't be looking to enroll students that don't seem willing to finish their education to it's fullest.

Seniors, although being their last year, should be their most dedicated year. The final year of high school reflects who they became from starting as a freshman. Say a freshman started not so well in high school. Skipping school, homework, and not caring about his education at all. As that freshman progressed through the years it seemed he had picked it up on his education and even made it out senior year with straight A's. Wouldn't you rather have someone who seemed dedicated to finishing strong rather than someone who started out fine, but ended in complete failure? Just because the beginning is easy doesn't mean it's always going to be easy, and even if it is easy that is no means space for slacking off. I would rather have a dedicated mechanic work on my car than a slacker mechanic who only did some of the work in school.

College should focus their enrollment on students with a high school morale because having students in a class who take their education lightly brings out zero advantages in that student's future life and career path. Colleges should look to take the students who are willing, ready, and able to handle the college lifestyle and education. Enrolling students who seem to slack will only waste time and increase the percentages of college dropouts. Not to mention it could only bring a negative repuation towards the school and bring down scores, and popularity of the college. Being an intellectual is important to college, and to be intellectual comes with determination. A student who is determined to finish and succeed well in college, is someone who will in turn come to be determined and successful in their life.

Senior Year

This year I am looking foward to finally finishing school and not having to come back at 8'oclock everyday. It is senior year and everything in the past three years that has made me who I am reflects on this final year. There is also Senior Project in the end and I am thinking about what I am going to do. Graduating is also a big thing I am looking foward to, although the work may be hard and may seem the longest this final year I feel good about finishing high school.
